Engineering & Design
We have a highly competent and experienced team of design engineers who are able to design both standard and bespoke cost-effective solutions, adding value for the benefit of our customers. Over the years, the company has developed a depth of experience within different market sectors allowing solutions to be designed to meet the needs of our customers and conform to the industry specifications. Using the very latest design and analysis modelling software allows us to produce innovative designs prior to commencement of any manufacturing.
Manufacturing
Our manufacturing plant includes a wide range of CNC and conventional machine tools, paint shop, assembly and testing facilities to enable us to produce our full range of products, from the smallest component, up to cylinders of over 1000 mm diameter. Our planning control system manages all customer orders and schedules material and purchasing requirements.

1963
Established in 1963, RGS Electro-Pneumatics Limited designed and manufactured pneumatic and electro-pneumatic products specifically for the process industries.
RGS’s core product range of hazardous and safe area pneumatic solenoid valves is available in Namur, remote mount, sub-base, or manifold mount arrangements; in 3/2, 5/2 or 5/3 configurations and in sizes from 1/8” to 1”.
In addition to the solenoid valve range, RGS maintains an active business in the design and manufacture of non-standard pneumatic cylinders.

1983
Headquartered in Plymouth, Davis Pneumatic Systems Limited was established in 1983. It was a designer and manufacturer of specialised fluid power components and systems.
They supply bespoke products to various niche markets including the railway, valve actuation, food, and other general industries.

1990s
Davis acquired Baldwin. Baldwin Fluid Power Limited was founded in 1966 and operated in Dartford.
2010
Davis relocated to RGS premises in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
2012
RGS and Davis merged, becoming RGS Davis Ltd.
2013
ROSS Pneumatrol was founded on 4th April 2014 after purchasing the assets and intellectual property rights of RGS Davis Ltd. The management team remains unchanged and ROSS Pneumatrol continues to manufacture and supply the complete RGS Davis product range from the existing Oswaldtwistle facility.
2019
ROSS acquires Pneumatrol Ltd. (UK) to expand its combined market position in Hazardous Area and Safety technologies in the Process Industry.
