P23 1/4" BSP/NPT Direct-Acting 3/2 Poppet Solenoid Valve (Ex d, Low Power)

The P23 is a 3 port, 2 position (3/2) direct-acting balanced poppet solenoid valve designed for a compact footprint while delivering high flow and low power consumption. The valve is available with hazardous area coil options, including Ex d, and is offered with aluminium (standard), stainless steel, or brass body material selections to suit demanding process environments.

Key benefits

  • Direct-acting balanced poppet design for dependable 3/2 switching in a compact package.
  • High flow performance with 400 l/min (at 6 bar with 1 bar pressure drop) and Cv 0.4.
  • Low power consumption (listed as 3W).
  • Hazardous area Ex d coil option for Zones 1 & 2, rated Ex d IIC T3–T6 with IP66 protection.
  • Thread flexibility: 1/4” BSP standard with NPT available.

Typical applications (non-exhaustive)

Ideal wherever a compact 3/2 valve is required for pneumatic control in hazardous or harsh industrial environments—such as piloting or controlling single-acting pneumatic devices, valve actuators, or process automation systems (application suitability depends on your system design and approvals requirements).
